Reminder to bossy co-workers who are not actually bosses

I’ve addressed this point before, but it bears restating: The words “I need you to” are not synonymous with “please”. Also, a pompous, supercilious tone will not take you as far as good old-fashioned grovelling will. Simply put: You’re not the boss of me. Kindly remember this when formulating your requests.
