Introducing Brianna Elizabeth

I’m pleased to welcome the inaugural member of the Beta Flight Youth League,1 Brianna Elizabeth,2 who arrived Sunday, May 20, 2007 at 10:02 a.m., weighing in at 7 lbs. 9 oz. Here’s the little pupa with proud drone Scott and queen bee Marlene, to whom the heartiest congratulations are due.

Uncle Pete’s going to keep a close eye on this little beauty. She’s going to be a real stunner when she grows up.

1. Provisional name: Other names under consideration include Beta Flight 2.0, Beta Flight Developmental Squad, and Beta Flight 2000.
2. Mike and his Venezulean wife seem to think “Brianna” is somehow a Latina name. I say it’s Irish. Scott says it originally comes from Melmac.

Boy, she has to be, like, at least The Sixth Most Bees already.

What a babe — copious congrats to the proud parents! I can only add: “Boot! Boot! Now she’s little!”

  3. Whoa, Marlene’s hot. Now I feel bad for berating her that time when she commented on my Oscars post a year and a half ago.

  4. You should have known Marlene was good-looking when I listed her celebrity lookalikes. Scott’s a handsome fella himself. I normally like to go around claiming credit for any pregnant woman I see, but genetically speaking, it’s lucky little Brianna didn’t have a gargoyle like me souring the batter.

    What great news! Congratulations, guys.

    Holy Smokes! It’s Adrienne!

Thanks for the congrats everyone. Also, I highly recommend having children since everyone starts telling you how attractive you and your family are.

Man, all you had to do was ask. At any rate, now that Marlene’s a mom, you should know that we’re going to make it a great Mother’s Day for her.

  8. 8 Scott

    REVENGINATED!!! You da man, Matty.
